Occupational Safety and Health Act 1970

The Occupational Safety and Health Act created a new Federal agency, The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to monitor and enforce workplace health and safety rules. These rules became increasingly controversial, especially as OSHA widened its reach from setting standards for industrial work to regulating office work conditions.
