No loud talking, undue familiarity or suggestive remarks unbecoming any lady or gentleman will be tolerated.
No beating of drum to produce Jazz effect will be allowed.

Lansing, Michigan police posted this sign prohibiting certain “immoral” behavior at dance halls. Across the nation, reformers believed that dance halls advanced the spread of venereal disease.
