“A Bill of Rights for all UAW Members”

“A Bill of Rights for all UAW Members” April 1945

During World War II, the leadership of the United Auto Workers Union (UAW) joined with African American civil rights organizations to support Executive Order 8802, which banned discrimination in defense employment. This pamphlet tried to convince rank and file members to support their union’s program of non-discrimination.
